Gothenburg = Feskekörka! 'Feskekörka' is 'Fish church' in swedish and the place is an institution in swedish culture, if you go to Gothenburg you should visit this place. Got time to spare? Try one of their shrimp salads or enjoy other meals with fish and/or...More

Large fish market that looks like a church with its shape, vaults and windows. Is actually the city's main Fish Market. Easily reachable by the tram system.

This is a cool excusion place as well as a very nice for talking lunch. After having strolled around inbetween the fish dealers, one can just move to one of the restaurants and order a typical Swedish fishdish. Superb and excellent. And a bit expensive....More

If you love fish, I guess that is the place to be. The restaurant doesn't offer too many options and the people were not too friendly in my opinion.

Weather was terrible and that was why we stayd here a bit longer. You could find good selection of seafood. Staff seemed to be youngish and very helpfull.

The building looks very nice from outside, but inside there was nothing happening at all. Nearly all the booths had already closed, though it should be openend for more than two hours.

This building resembles a church to symbolize the city’s relationship with the sea. It was not open the day we were there.

We did not eat at the Fish Church but everything looked fresh, well presented and appetizing. I expected it to be bigger,a bit like the foodhalls in Helsinki, but they also have restaurant upstairs. The building is very cute and quirky from the outside.

I don't think either restaurant in the Fish Market takes reservations - just show up. If the weather is nice there is outdoor seating (we had downpour and thunder, so ate inside). There are a set menus for the restaurants.
