Impressive cathedral (for Nordic standards)

Interesting and impressive cathedral - this was a very important place during the Middle Ages, hence the size of this cathedral. Quite nice also, on the inside.

A, to our nordic standards, large open interior with historically significant pieces. Some pre reformation decoration restored. Swedes with a historical interest should have it on their bucket list.

I have been many times there for concerts, but this was the first time I took a guided tour at the church. I was amazing to see the tomb objects and tombs kept there and to hear about the history. It is a short tour and I highly recommend it.

I can't believe they are not charging for the privilege of having a nosey around the place, it's a standard looking cathedral on the outside but inside is stunning. Worth the time.

It is located in city centre. If you are interested in old Churches this is place to be. You can see old pipe organs near the entrance and the tomb of Erich XIV. Nice and calm place.

The architecture as well as the art, for example the old pipe organ near the entrance, the tomb of Erich XIV, the high altar of Veronica or the Brahe tomb monument, are worthwhile a visit. During the summer season a small cafeteria (inside the cathedral next to the main entrance) offers very tasty cakes and ice cream at very reasonable... More

If you enjoy churches and want to enjoy a great church, do stop by. It's a big church with a lot of history tied to it. There's even a king buried in there.
