The name Arbetets Museum (Museum of Work) for an institution based in Norrköping, one of the centers of Swedish industrialization, suggests visitor would see exhibitions about industrial work, work conditions, machinery, working class history etc. I was pretty disappointed, however. This is not a museum proper (they don't have any material collections) but a five storey exhibition hall. They featured... More

The name is special " the iron" comes from the buildings shape with the falling river on Both sides. It used to be a textile factory with mostly Female staff. No a museum dedicarer to work. Different exibitions. Many very interesting and you Will see things you found when you was much younger or with your old relatives. The cafeteria... More

It's in the industrial part of the city, or at least really close to it, and it's one of the best-looking attractions. I didn't have time to check much of the exhibits but the outside area really looks nice.

We were expecting more in the way of educational exhibits relating to work. Instead, there was a little bit of history, a political cartoons display, some portraits of fathers, and a moving conveyor belt with random items. It is a very large building with 7 floors and two industrial elevators to help you get to them. There is little else... More

Arranged a workshop here, already from booking there was a good feeling. On arrival we were making changes in number of participants and requirements of group rooms, no problems! Staff is really service minded, lunch was really good, over all well worth the money.

A fabulous cafe is found here! The actual museum contains temporary exhibitions so where we expected to see "work" related displays we were very disappointed.

Museum in a former industrial building built in 1917, once described as Europe's most beautiful factory. Seven floors of exhibitions. The main exhibition - Land of Tomorrow - focuses on working and everyday life. A conveyor belt with period artifacts from the 1980's and onwards moves through the exhibition which will be on display until 2019. The only permanent display... More
