This bronze statue appearing in aquamarine and green hues is well mainained. Its height is comfortable for viewing and taking pictures . This fine statue stands proud near opera house, very near to bridge across to old Town. Its one of many monuments dotted around the City.

Through the bus window, I tried getting a photo of the statue but instead I captured some beautiful cherry blossoms blooming in early May - about a month behind cherry blossoms blooming in DC or Japan. It was really chilly that May day in Stockholm.

This statue is one of the landmarks you see in the square next to the opera house just before entering the old town. Imposing but would not make a special trip to see.

An imposing equestrian statue, on a traffic island, close to the opera house and facing the palace. It may well be on your approach to Gamla Stan anyway, but if you’re coming via a different route it’s worth a short diversion.
