We loved walking down along this waterfront area with its historic hotels, beautiful buildings, marina and the waterside cafes. We took most of our city pictures of this waterside promenade.....our favorite was the architecture and the red awnings and flower boxes of the Hotel Diplomat.

We started to walk in Strandvägen. It was so beautiful. You can see boats and restaurants across the road.

Leaving the old town, cross the river to reach the Strandvagen. The first part take you past some very grand buildings, including very upmarket hotels. Going further, it gets bot greener, with various musea and other buildings.

Lively place to walk by the water with plenty of restaurants to have a snack and a drink, not cheap, but nothing is in Stockholm.

The Strandvagen quay is a nice place to stroll past art nouveau buildings and look over to the islands. Lots of cafès & restaurants.
