A very interesting part of the Skansen-open-air-museum is the aquarium. It keeps within a lot of esotic animals (snakes, monkeys, crocodiles, insects etc.) as well as various species of tropical fish.

located near the main entrance of the Skansen open air museum...this thing required a separate ticket...but it is worth a quick visit...visited as a part of stockholm pass...u can cuddle a tarantula spider, large snake u can pat...crocodiles, meerkats...fish fauna so much to see...do check...More

This place is what I remember best from my own childhood, when visiting Stockholm and Sweden. Now my own children, 14 & 12, always want to experience this place whenever in town.

Excellent fun for families. Lots of strange animals and you walk with quite a few monkeys. Try petting the snake and spider in the end.
