Recommended by my travel book, this small island is worth visiting. Only half an hour from the Nybroplan harbor, this place is ideal for picnicking, stroll, sunbathing, or even doing nothing! There are also some restaurants or workshops there. It's quite easy to spend a...More

Took the boat over to this quaint little island. The trip takes approx 30 mins. Pack a picnic and a bathing suit - you'll be able to spend all day there if you wished. Lovely views and definitely worth it.

Great spot for an excursion on a sunny day. The island is small but with some lovely restaurants and magnificent views along the coastlines of Stockholm. Buy a Ferry ticket at Slussen and enjoy within a half an hour the beauty of this wonderful island.

I was SO disappointed. I have really enjoyed taking boats in the lake not just to and from Slussen to Djurgarden, but we also travelled from Mariefred to Stockholm by steamship which was a 3.5 HR delight. We also visited Vaxholm. Wanting to keep satisfying...More
