Below the observatory hill in northern Stockholm stands an architectonic masterpiece, a sienna coloured brick building of a cylinder within a cube: the city's public library. It is a work by Gunnar Asplund, who's other famous work is the cemetery Skogskyrkogarden, which I went to...More

It's wonderful to just look in because this library is always abuzz with activity, but at the same time, people respect silence and go around accordingly without disturbing folks who are actually sitting down to read. It's spacious enough and the furniture is adequate.

If you are in the area this is a must-see simply because of its classic architecture. We enjoyed wandering around admiring the building that is both attractive and functional. The real thing surpasses the photos in guide books.

Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost

eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s
most sought-after place to live. If walking through
this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy
tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s
