A visit to a parliament is something we do in almost every capital city we visit. Most of the time you just see the architecture but never get the opportunity to see how the system works. That is why such a visit can be very...More

A beautiful building that is very old and well constructed. You can take a free guided tour as well. Lots of history and photo ops.

We didn't know if you could go inside, but we were impressed with these buildings, on the bridge approaching the old town (Gamla Stan), and the Royal Palace. We approached it from the top of the pedestrianised road Drottninggatan, and the more reasonably priced shops,...More

The Parliament buildings are hard to miss although I found signage to entrances a bit confusing. You will be walking by it or through the gates before you will identify the building. Leave some time if taking a tour.

Parliament Building (Riksdagshuset) is situated at Riksgatan 3A in Gamla Stan. Very lovely architecture. Faces the riverfront.

It is not a standard that you can enter a parliament facilities just "walking around" (probably it is not so easy, if you try to visit the place during the holidays) and the whole experience is very "Swedish". The building of parliament is interesting itself...More

We love the setting - right in the middle of a tourist's great escape but the buildings are hard to visit/get inside of and so you only get an outsider's view.

The tour of parliament is really interesting. It's free but cannot be booked and places are limited so you need to join a queue early enough to make sure you get in.The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the building, the workings of parliament and...More

The Riksdags is Sweden’s Parliament and free tours are offered in English (the times vary depending on the day and month). I wasn’t sure what to expect when taking a tour of the Riksdag but it turned out to be a great tour. The tour...More

Only guided tours. Groups of about 20people. Mostly start on the hour. Different group for different classes. Groups run simultaneously, so corridors/rooms can get congested. Tours are rushed. I did enjoy seeing the building and the rooms

The scale of this building and the architecture are stunning. It's huge, the small island on which it's located makes it look even bigger. Definitely a place to go.

We were on a small personal tour and walked all around this building which is just gorgeous. We were also lucky enough to see the changing of the guards too. In this area there are so many wonderful sights to see and we strongly recommend...More
