Neighbourhood: Djurgården & Djurgårdsbrunn
The island of Djurgården and its northern mainland extension, Djurgårdsbrunn, impress with a mix of nature and an abundance of museums, while being located in walking distance to Stockholm’s city center. Djurgården not only invites visitors to take endless walks through a beautiful park landscape without having to leave the city, but also offers an incredible range of entertainment facilities, such as an open air museum which specializes in the Swedish way of life pre-industrialization, the renowned Vasa Museum with its legendary sailing ship, and Sweden’s most famous amusement park Gröna Lund, which is more than a 100 years old.

- Jason TWisborough Green, United Kingdom37 contributionsNot value for money but funwinter wonderland booked as a family of 3 in Dec 22. Over priced and the major rides were not operating so felt it wasn't worth the money. The staff are all excellent and very helpful. The experience is good but everything extra money so came away feeling poor. For the money of the entrance fee we expected a lot more. Every stall wanted more money. We've been to other places like it where you pay a small amount (or free) to get in and then pay. Here you over pay to get in and then pay more, and more and more.Visited December 2022Travelled with familyWritten 11 December 2022
- Caitlan ToddingtonTamworth, United Kingdom24 contributionsBetter in summerI’d recommend coming here in the summer, as the majority of the rides were closed this winter. Think they should lower ticket prices for winter if nothing is going to be open. The winter wonderland was quite nice, but definitely directed for children only. Just felt a bit weird me and my partner going and nothing was directed for adults. Can’t fault the staff they were nice and friendly.Visited December 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 December 2022
- William MEdinburgh, United Kingdom477 contributionsGood but with issuesA really good theme park with some amazing rides (Insane, Monster, Jet Line, etc) but let down by a lack of queue management & general behaviour by guests. It spoils what is a great attraction because it doesn’t really feel safe. Glad we went but wouldn’t return.Visited May 2023Written 29 May 2023
- Nayla ADoha, Qatar8 contributionsWe had so much funMy family and I spent a spectacular time at Grona Lund. The park consists of two different areas that accommodates different age groups. We had fun and returned for another day. Try to go on weekdays if you can as the queues are significantly shorter.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 17 August 2023
- RDH1974Coventry, United Kingdom98 contributionsOk but overpricedYou only need about ½ day here max. The admission price is a bit steep for what you get and there is an optional cost for the house of nightmares which is not worth it. The park itself was reasonably clean and they do good ice cream, otherwise nothing special. Instead I suggest a trip to gothenburg and check out Liseburg.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 September 2023

This small but beautiful amusement park is located in the centre of Stockholm. There are many rides, cafes and restaurants where entire family can enjoy. It's somewhat like Tivoli Park in Copenhagen, but on a smaller scale.

This is not a very big amusement park and I think it is quite expensive considering how small it is It is however well put together with attractions for every one. Both the dare devils and the more cautious family members found stuff to do. Because it is quite small a half day-ticket is enough. There is no parking nearby, but easily reached with bus or tram.

This place gets packed during weekends and holidays. Be ready to pre book in advance. Lots of rides , eateries inside. Just like the Tivoli in neighboring Copenhagen this is a must.

We visited this amusement park with our 2 grandsons, both aged 8 years old and had a great time going on the rides. The staff was welcoming and very pleasant; the grounds were beautifully maintained with lots of seating and reasonably priced food. I had read several negative reviews so it came as a particularly nice surprise. We were there during the afternoon and the park was filled with families having fun.

Amazing pocket size amusement park. Only need half a day (which is cheaper). Need to buy tickets online, then scan QR code at booth for wristband and then scan QR code again to get into park. Can bring small bags or backpacks (will be checked) but on many rides need to check into a cubby or leave on platform while riding. Only went for the rides - so no food or game package. Did the 4pm ticket start. Had a blast. Be aware that later in day is a ton of teenagers, not so much families with younger children. Felt safe the entire time. Just a bunch of young kids from all over Stockholm/Sweden having fun.

Much like the sad general deterioration of public safety in Sweden, Gröna Lund is no exception.
What used to be a nice destination for families is now a playground for organized crime.
The park itself is nice, but visitors are no longer the average Swedish family or foreign tourists, but mainly rowdy Middle Easterners.
The problems have received wide media attention, including that the park security has connections to organized crime. The operator (Parks & Resorts Scandinavia AB) has, however, chosen to ignore the problem and focus on short term profit rather than overall safety.
Our visit was unfortunately not what we had expected.
Noteworthy is also that a visit to the park can easily exceed several hundred dollars/Euros per person (children are considered adults), which it is not worth given the situation.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows from experience, if there’s a way to get my tickets refunded? I was suppose to be going this Saturday but the weather isn’t looking great.
Thanks

Hi! Is it possible to go in and out and in again on the same day? I mean, can I go in on the morning, out and again in on the afternoon? Did the park put an stamp or something like this?
Thanks in advance.

Здравствуйте! Будет ли интересно девочке 5 лет в этом парке? Много отракционов для детей 5 лет? И сколько талонов стоят детские аттракционы? Есть ли безлимит для детей такого возраста?

Hi no it isn't - it will open again in May I think and closes at the end of september. Although I think the theatre there is open for shows of Mamma Mia the Party (dinner/musical) throughout the year,

How much is the entrance fee for the park and how much is a ride coupon booklet? I couldmt find this information on the website. Also when does the park open for the year? Thanks :)

The prices are set every year but there are different types. A one time entrance fee or seasons pass which if you plan to go more than once is worth it
Can’t comment on the rides, we’ve never used them, we like the venue for the great concerts they attract and unique location in the heart of Stockholm
I believe the park opens around May and closes end of summer
