I’ve heard this is a beautiful area and wish I had more time to explore. It seemed a bit industrial on my walk to Fotografiska, but there are great views back to the city! Excellent coffee and dining options, too

Södermalm is the cosiest part of Stockholm I find, full of hip bars and restaurants and the food market hall at Medborgarplatsen. Fantastic views from Fiskargatan and Monteselius gatan.

Views of the city from Sodermalm is beautiful. Sodermalm itself is also a gem. I loved walking on the pedestrian only shopping street. It feels like old town with a modern twist of hipster.

Just over the bridge from Gamla Stan is the bohemian area known as Soder to the locals. We just wandered around here a bit and found a place to eat. Nice old neighbourhood, with plenty to see and do.

Södermalm also called Söder, is definitely a part of central Stockholm worth seeing. This is an old part of Stockholm where many famous authors etc. have lived. Definitely worth seeing if you have an extra day or so.

This is the neighborhood to visit for the views of the city. It's not all that handicap friendly as it is hilly and there are many stairs, though we saw many manage with strollers. There were many shops, cafes and restaurants to choose from. The...More

A short walk from Segerls Torg gives us one of the nicest neighborhoods in Stockholm Sodermalm. Just turn around to change perspective with a trip back in time in the picturesque space of this much loved place by the Swedes. A boutique of vintage boutiques,...More

A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision
and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has
become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy
and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the
area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so
far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason
for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance.
Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping
