Södermalm is one of many Island districts of Stockholm. Like the name suggests, it is south of the city centre. Split up into smaller districts, it is basically a place for shopping, eating, walking and looking for good views. Plenty of great walks around the...More

Very nice place to make your sightseeing, visit the Noble museum, the old church, cathedral, palace and many more museums in this area. Just enjoy it!

This area is quite hilly, add that to narrow sidewalks and cobblestone streets and it presents a challenge to walk around. Glad I make teh effort, but if time is limited, stick to the Old Town, perhaps Ostermalm, and absolutely walk Djurugarden. I came here...More

Nice area, lot of restaurants, bars and places full of locals (which is a good point to me). Nice food court.

Sodermalm is a more up and coming area of Stockholm than the centre city. It has great coffee shops, restaurants and is good just to walk around. The main street is a pedestrian mall with goo shopping though the more interesting places are on the...More

It has many bar / pubs along the street. It has great canal views. Best to be at night to check sitting outside with heater turned on and few pints of beers/ few glasses of wine.

Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision
and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has
become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy
and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the
area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so
far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason
for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance.
Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping
