It’s been 15 years since it was in Sodermalm and wow what a difference. Gentrified, artsy, and lots of restaurants and stores. The best views of Gamla Stan are from the embankments.

Overrated, filled with snobby thinking they are the center of uniberse. Stay away if you can. If not, make it quick.

I’ve heard this is a beautiful area and wish I had more time to explore. It seemed a bit industrial on my walk to Fotografiska, but there are great views back to the city! Excellent coffee and dining options, too

Södermalm is the cosiest part of Stockholm I find, full of hip bars and restaurants and the food market hall at Medborgarplatsen. Fantastic views from Fiskargatan and Monteselius gatan.

Views of the city from Sodermalm is beautiful. Sodermalm itself is also a gem. I loved walking on the pedestrian only shopping street. It feels like old town with a modern twist of hipster.

This island is really the heart of the city. It's full of weird bars, cafes, shops, and parks. Loads of second hand clothing stores to explore and I heard there's a chocolate factory somewhere. There are really lovely paths along the canals that are great...More

Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision
and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has
become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy
and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the
area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so
far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason
for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance.
Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping
