Norrmalm is a great district to use as a base for your visit to Stockholm, not necessarily because of what it has to offer itself, but because it is so centrally located. Think of it as your centre point as you see it on a...More

This is what's called CBD in Australia, that is the central business district. You don't live here (unless you have found a flat in one of the new roof top additions), you shop here and go out dining or taking a show. It's not very...More

Norrmalm is a residential district, but also is a busy commercial area. Lots of upscale shops, restaurants and retailers and along the surrounding streets. It’s also a cultural hub, with opera and ballet and Stockholm Concert Hall ( blue building)art exhibitions Tree-lined Kungsträdgården park has...More

This is the main street in Stockholm. Its so lovely to walk down. Despite being the main street, I wouldn’t say it was overly busy. Most of it is pedestrianised. Loads of great shops and restaurants. Also close to the train station.

Stayed in this part of town. Seemed a bit far away from the heart of the city. Plenty of restaurants and bars, but a decent walk to Gamla Stan depending on where you’re at.

It's an area where shopping is king. Yet it's nice to go and walk by to discover as there are nice designer shops around too.

Nice walk in the modern part of the city. Not the best part of Stockholm but still worth to see. Also full of shops and restaurant to spend your time in.

Stockholm is one of the dirties cities we have been to. A massive amount of cigarette butts all over the city and paper on the streets. The side streets to e.g. Drottninggatan are filthy. Young as old throws everything on the streets. This goes for...More

A trendy neighborhood full of shops and restaurants. Very lively at night. We went to Norrmalm to try a restaurant (Riche) that was recommended by a waitress at another place. But unfortunately since it was a very busy night and we didn't have a reservation,...More

It is a shipping, shopping and hotel area. It is steps way from the central station and the city hall. Here we boarded on the Prins Carl Philip ship to Drottningholm on a nice 1hr (or so) sailing through some of the Stockholm waterways. It...More
