This "museum" is very near the "Vasa" museum. After seeing the latter, you might drop in to have a peek if you have the Stockholm Pass. It is free for Stockholm Pass holders. I would NEVER spend money to see this strange place. There is...More

The museum bar downstairs serves at least 2 different flights of spirits to try in a little more tasting sized portions. Very much enjoyed introducing American friends to the broad variety of tastes and spirits explained by a specialist who gave great introduction and traditional...More

Wonderful to hear, thank you for sharing!

I would not recommend this museum. The exhibits were weird and I could not understand what they were trying to portray. They seemed to swing between promoting drinking and condemning it. The website made it seem like it explained the role of alcohol through Swedish...More

Hi Amanda, I'm sorry to hear your visit to our museum didn't meet your expectations. We are a neutral museum and aim to showcase the culture of drinking and the bittersweet relationship swedes have with alcohol, and thereby showing both negative and positive sides. We...More

If you’re in the area worth a quick look. Was an interesting temporary exhibition on champagne which was good. Tastings were good to try as something different to try - 2 of the spirits were very bitter - probably good in cocktails but very bitter...More

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Spirit Museum but I was pleasantly surprised. To begin with there was a gallery with Absolut Vodka bottles transformed into artwork. Then we moved onto the history of Champagne and then onto a somewhat interactive section that...More

We visited this museum as part of the Stockholm Pass. We were not impressed with the museum. It didn't seem to have a lot of content. There is a nice tent where you can have a beer by the water but the museum is not...More

Hi Debbie, We're sorry to hear your visit was less than satisfactory. We always appreciate feedback as we constantly aim to improve and impress with our three different exhibitions that focus on the subjects of art and alcohol. If you can tell us more about...More

We liked our visit to the Spirit Museum, especially the champagne exhibition. Felt it was fairly pricey for what it was. Also sadly the bar opposite was not open after our visit which was a shame!

Nice and well done museum. But Way to little information for the money. The ambience is good but how can the swedish make a museum with out telling the story of their spritbolaget.More

Found the modern art interesting and more so if you drink some of the strong spirits offered during your "tour". This experience is not for everyone and I certainly wouldn't make it the focal point of my visit....but rather as an add-on maybe at the...More

We found this museum on TA and knew it was surrounded with other ones to visit so it was worth heading over to Djurgården. We visited Skansen for most of the day so this was a late afternoon visit. This is a good time to...More
