Tells a lot about the history of the region, it is explained in a way where you can clearly see the cultural evolution of the region and what makes them a different from the rest of Sweden.

The glass museum and emigration institute both included in the same ticket are both worth a visit, but Småland's museum was just dull and we basically just passed through it. And what does the Austrian Ötzi have to do with Småland in Sweden?

This museum centers on the lives of particularly farming people in Smaaland, but also the urban development of larger towns, and leads nicely into the overpopulation of the mid-1800´s and subsequent emigration to North America, which is the subject of the neighboring museum.

This is an excellent museum to explain the massive emigration from Sweden and especially Smaland to North American in the 19th century. Charts and maps highlight the displays.

This place was worth checking out. There were a number of different interesting displays. I thought the currency collection was superb and a must see for any coin collector.
