When in Malmo, it is a must visit place. It is a beautiful building and good for night out. It hosts musical events and opera. It has a fine dine restaurant. It does not accept cash.

We visited for a Sunday matine performance of Verdi's excellent Rigoletto travelling from Copenhagen by car. We arrived 75 minutes before the performance and it was easy to find a free parking lot (not free on weekdays). The building from 1944 is worth a visit...More

Very good singing!!!! New modern setup that works. Nice old fashion operahouse. And good prices. We saw a sunday afternoon performance which was fine as we come from Copenhagen.

Pleasant opera house with a wide variety of shows on offer. Affordable tickets to most. Tours are available of the house too, and they are recommended as it is a pretty building. However, the vegetarian plate ordered as a halftime snack was pretty poor quality...More

A very strange building. A slightly NASDP feel to the decor. The publicum were predominantly rollator jockeys. Show was ok. In Swedish with Swedish subtitles. Ok for me, but not exactly cosmopolitan. Refreshing absence of nye medborgar.

Comfortable building, spacious inside like outside, simple but pleasant, luminous. A nice place to attend opera events.

A very neatly done opera house. Great acoustics. The outer shell is, well, hmm. But once inside it takes your breath away.

We were lucky. Walked in via the ticket shop and were able to explore the rest if the building. Very nice and looks authentic and classy. There is also a bar and a restaurant in the building. Must be great to see a show there.

The building itself is worth a visit in the evening, with an astonishing view from second floor foyer and if you are lucky enough to get a ticket or two to an opera or concert-evening, then your quota of culture is filled for a long...More
