This is a nice little museum near the Malmo city centre. Friendly and helpful staff. Free entrance which is rarity these days. There is also a small cafe inside the museum.

Exhibition, Malmö is burning and The Social, going on now is not worth the visit.Feels almost like an exhibition work from a high school. Not even the museum shop and the closed cafe on Saturdays is something to be delighted with.

The building itself is nice with nice volumes inside for art but the (one) exhibition on view when we visited was, unfortunately, disappointing.

Perhaps I was expecting something different but I found the museum underwhelming and a little sparse. Without doubt there is some great art and I'm not in a position to criticise with no talent of my own, but it wasn't for me.

First floor had a mix of different arts and second floor had a temporary exhibition with Francesca Woodman when we visited. We spent about 30 min in the museum since it is rather small but nice to visit on a rainy day.

We hopped over to Malmo for a day trip from Copenhagen, and walked in the freezing cold to the Moderna Museet. We were pleasantly surprised with the free entry, as well as the calibre of the exhibitions on display ('The Artist' and 'Francesca Woodman'). The...More
