Tempered in a European perspective, half of it sea-weed. Longwinded and rather narrow. Dreary housing in the background. Shallow waters and half an eternity before you reach the steps at the end of the jetty only to find... more shallow waters.
The region has plenty of exceptional beaches to try instead. Try the Falsterbo beach. Or the superior Tylö beach in Halmstad.
Take me to the station and put me on a train... I got no expectations to pass through here again...

It took a long time for us to reach the beach... We were from the Folkets park and we rode in bus number 7 but it was a long way... We ended up at last stop of the bus... good thing there was another bus going back... So if you want to go here just ride bus number 7 in central station and it's just 4 stop away. The view is nice and the Turning torso is visible. The sand is powdery and white... perfect for summer get away! 👍👍

Im in love with the Beach and the view on the Oresund and Ribersborg Kallbadhus, especially during sunset. When im in town, i always spend as much time as possible on this beach. Relaxing beautiful place.

Beautiful place for a walk but I wouldn't swim from the beach as there are many dogs in the water, as well as a lot of insects in the beach area. I would go out on one of the jettys to swim instead of from the beach, or go to the right to Västra Hamnen.

We came here on Saturday morning to do parkrun - a free, weekly timed 5k run for anyone who doesn't know what it is. The Malmo Ribersborg one takes place at 9.30am every Saturday.
We then adjourned to the Ribersborg Kallbadhus cafe for Fika with the volunteer team and some other tourists who were also visiting parkrun.
And the morning was topped off by a visit to the Kallbadhus for a warm-down sauna and a cool-down swim in the sea.
What a great way to spend a Saturday morning!

Walked for about 30 minutes from the train station and arrived to this beautiful beach. On the right, the turning torso was standing high and on the far left, you could see the Oresund bridge. There were Ribersborgs Kallbadhus (Swedish saunas) too.
Spotted swans and ducklings, different species of birds and seagulls and even wee crabs. The water was so clear and not too deep. Just beside the beach, there's a large field with a small area for dog training. It was so peaceful and beautiful, I had a hard time leaving.
Really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back!

Ribersborgsstranden, or as it is called "Ribban" is a long beach easily accessible for anyone. You can go by foot, bike, car or take the bus to get there. If by foot, a stroll down the beach walk is recommended.
If you prefer sandy beaches, this is not really the beach for you. But you can find fields of grass with accompanying piers. If you stay at the sandy part of the beach, be prepared to walk half the way to Denmark and still only have water reaching your knees (= good place to play with children though) whereas by the grass field piers the water is much deeper but still you shouldn't take a dive into the ocean!
Special piers are available if you're in need of assistance to reach the water (wheel chair pier f.i.). Life guards patrol the beach in the summertime and their control station is found near the biggest pier called "T-bryggan"
If you walk far far away from the city on the beach walk you will find a nudist colony (!).
I'm a Malmö local and thereby I love Ribban. But when trying to be objective, this is not the best beach in Skåne.

There was a lot of toilet paper in the water and a lot of dog poo in the sand. Would't go swimming here...

Ribban is a vibrant beach with very nice piers. Go for swim, dogwalk, meet friends or new connections. So many things to do here ...

Located around 30min walking from city center, with great view on the sea, the amazing bridge and if good weather, you can see Denmark.
There is a lot of grass around, many benches, public toilets, but probably not good for swimming :)
