Visiting the city of Lund is a true historic tour as it is one of the oldest in Sweden. It has a medieval architecture intertwined with points of extreme modernism, with very beautiful and interesting churches and museums. For those who know Rio de Janeiro it's like being in Leblon.
It is worth knowing and also enjoying the local cuisine.

Enjoyed the area, the buildings are lovely. We would come back to Lund with its old world charm. Only a small university town well worth a look.

The Lund white house, behind the magnolias (in May/June) is the very trade mark of Lund University. The university itself is 350 years old and Lund is worth a visit. Do not miss the inside of this building (if you can enter) with the beautiful atrium and auditorium from the 19th centrury. Or stop by on May 1st when the mail choir of the university sing on the steps - broadcasted all over Sweden.

This is the main building representing Lund University... Can't really go in (not sure). The gardens and buildings around this building (between here and the main cathedral) stem from original University. The surrounds are more interesting.

The campus area of the University of Lund is indeed worth visiting. Breathe the fresh air of civilisation and enlightenment. Salute the generations gone by as well as the generations of our future. The campus area lies just beside the Cathedral of Lund.

We visited the library on Lund’s culture night. I’ve passed it many times and was curious to check it out
The interior is not what I expected as the exterior is really magnificent. It was a typical uni library. They did have an interesting display on the Chinese revolution, and lectures on lithography but I expected more.

I attended here for a conference. I understand the building is about to be refurbished. If you can get in the ceiling of the main hall is excellent.

This building is only part of your walk around the grounds of Lund University and is a must during any visit to the city. There are many sculptures to admire and gardens to enjoy in this historical area. It is best with a guide but otherwise find a book at the local tourist office.
