We had been looking forward to this hike for some time and had done a lot of research. None of which prepared us for the worst snow conditions in 70 years. Our plan was to hike from Abisko to Kvikkjokk. unfortunately because of the heavy...More

I started on my solo hike in Abisko and branched off to Vistas from Alesjaure and then hooked back into the Kundsleden trail at Salka via Nallo, and then onto Singi and Kebnekaise mountain station. The trail was simply amazing, and the folk one meets...More

Taking the Fjallraven Classic hike from Nikkaluotka to Abisko this past fall was an absolute mesmerizing hike for all calibers of hikers. It has its fair share of challenges to overcome, whether it be the constant changing valley weather, to the aggressively rocky terrain as...More

Just a very short and limited part of the Kungsleden mountain trail, but soo beautiful. Very easy also for hiking beginners with good service at the different huts along the trail.

I walked the first section of the Kungsleden from Abisko to Nikkaluokta, staying in STF huts. This is a superb walk. Not too physically demanding but not a doddle either. Great scenery, with huge mountains, reindeer and majestic passes. The daily distances range from 12...More

Probably best to do the Abisko-Nikkaluokta part.. About 1 week is a good pace to do it without pushing too hard. (it can be done in 5 days). Or you can continue to Vakkotavare and beyond. Check out the STF website for maps... More
