Good place for a beach walk -- quiet, largely deserted the day we were there. The beach is not very wide. There's an area around the point where people were fishing and a nature trail that's worth a look. Well-equipped restrooms and covered picnic area. Be sure to bring change -- I think the entrance fee was $4 and we were short... More

We rented a raised house at the end of the point for the end of August first of September. The area feels like your out on an island with the Gulf on one side and the bay on the other. The area is not heavily developed with Bald Point State Park occupying the Ochlockonee Bay side and a conservancy holding... More

There is a beautiful beach area in the park known as Alligator Point. Parking is somewhat limited, but there are nice paths to the beach, some picnic tables. The beach is very pretty, you can tell that it is not heavily used. At $4 a carload for admittance it is a bargain, and worth the trip if you are in... More

To sum it up. It was nice. Walkways available for wheelchairs and strollers. Well layed out. Enough signs every where. Place to bbq available. Fishing place available on the pier. But it not too big plus you can basically see all the animals outside the park in the area. We were staying down the road for a couple of days.... More

We were here a few weeks after the hurricane and there was still a little bit of visible damage. The beaches are very quiet and quite natural which is a nice change of pace for the panhandle. When we visited, there were a lot of weeds on the beach, and the water was a brackish color. Not the prettiest site,... More

We saw a Bald Eagle at the beach!! Awesome!!! Lots of small marine life I have a 5 year old daughter and we all loved the beach and creatures. Does have some biting flies in the evening so prepare for that. I love this beach not very tropical but it's very clean and relaxing. It does have a bathroom area... More

This Beach is like it must have been in old times. We took our blankets down the beach several hundred yards and set ourselves up. It was quiet except for the Gulls. A beautiful quiet experience. Lots of sugar sand- no bugs. Wind was moderate. Great beach but bring your suntan oil and sun block. No beach hawkers bothered us.... More

I drove 12 miles out of my way off US Hwy 98 to take my wife out here. Pretty much for just another look at the ocean. During summer, the bugs will eat you alive on the nature walk, so take plenty of protection. The beach, frankly, is not desirable to swim in. Water is dark, can't see your feet,... More

Drove 80 miles to find one of Florida's white sandy beaches and this place didn't disappoint. Miles of beach, very few people, lovely sea shells, perfect weather. Doesn't get better than that!
