Absolutely fascinating museum displaying six 11th century Viking ships excavated nearby. The ships are beautifully displayed with lots of information and a good introductory video (in different languages) in the ‘cinema’ room. As well as the museum there are replicas of the ships which you...More

This museum give you an unrivalled collection of Viking vessels. It also shows that they used fishing boats and cargo ships as well as the more familiar longships. The location is very child friendly with hands on demonstrations they will love.

It’s a very interesting and interactive museum, with workshops for childrens and adults also. You can try sitting in a viking ship and if you are brave enough rowing also. Definitely worth a visit!

Hello - yes you can. All instruction will be given in English. A 'normal' boattrip has many different nationalities - and they always work very good together! Sincerely, Rikke
