Interesting enough but there is a story of him coming to life if Norway is threatened to save the country. You pass it as you visit the casements.

It is just a statue in the casemates of the castle. Dark, wet and without descriptions. Just delete it from the list of Activities.

An impressive statue located in the dungeons of Kronborg Slot. It looks stunning sitting there in the dark and suddenly it gets illuminated.

Learn the history of Holger the Dane .... visit the dungeon and on the tour see him .. is he real .. ya gotta visit to really appreciate. This is just one of the many wonderful things you will enjoy inn Kronborg.

By train. We got the train from Copenhagen Norreport direct to Helsingør (aka Elsinore in Hamlet). Took around an hour. Castle is less than 10-min walk from the station. Town is nice so you may want to factor in some time... More
