We would say this was a museum that was "best avoided" since they seem to see visitors as a "selling opportunity" and nothing more. Shame

Absolutely amazing pieces of amber on view, some carved into jewellery or ornaments. Lots of dead creepy crawlies inside them. Some parts closed at the moment, but free and very much worth a visit.

I returned an item which was obviously received via sending it from the US. Returning the item was quite pricey, but I figured it would be worth it since the item's price was far greater than the cost of returning. The item was shipped 9/2/22 and was received by the company it appears on 9/23/22. To date I have NOT received a refund and have been unable to contact the company via email (they bounce back undeliverable) or via phone!!! I've been happy with prior purchases, but am VERY unhappy with this transaction, to say the least. Of interest, after sending back this item for a refund, I ordered the same item in a different color amber and they had no problem with promptly charging me for the new order!!! If somebody from the company is seeing this, I would appreciate you reaching out and also letting me know how I can contact someone to rectify this problem!!!

Very dissatisfied, the museum is very small but cheap, perhaps to attract purchase customers, the Chinese saleswomen do not let go .... Customer service AFTER purchase for repair jewelry expensive and not very accommodating. The manager also seems to me very prickly and rude. Very sad, the tense atmosphere in the store is so not like the friendly Copenhagen !

As many others have noted, this place is a for profit shop trying to sell Amber. The small “museum” is just a hook to get the tourist inside. Prices outrageous. Skip it and have a great day nearby doing 100’s of things

I was so excited to visit this Amber museum when I saw it among Copenhagen attractions, and I was keen to come, but was disappointed to find the museum to be very small located in a 3 story tiny historic house, the house it self was nice to experience, however each floor was actually containing only 2 small rooms, the whole ground floor is Amber jewelery shop, the first and second floor are displaying very little informations about the Amber with few displays, I wanted to see and learn more! The prices at the shop are very high!

Me and my Husband bought a Copenhagen pass and the entry fee for this museum is included. I enjoyed this two level museum with a good variety of exhibits and displays. I did enjoy reading some of the information about amber and seeing the Jewellers work bench.
It was a pity that you were not allowed to take any photos, especially as there didn’t seem to be a guidebook to purchase.
This is a definite must for anyone interested in jewellery, geology or crafts. I didn’t even look at the prices because they were so costly.
