Great place to stroll along the coast. Many activity centres to hire SUPs etc. Great for running or strolling. Definitely recommend!

It was chilly February yet the view of Amager Strandpark either on a sunny day or cloudy day was spectacular. More people over weekend, much less during weekdays. You can walk run or cycling all around.

As we travelled in April, it was still chilly. A great place to walk about and watch the wildlife, meet local Danes and just relax. It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. 2 mins. walk from CPH Studio Hotel.

Long beach, not the finest sand but okay, park is good though..there are often some beach activities like minigolf, segway rental etc, and a coffee truck and ice cream truck, that kind of thing. Lots and lots of people on sunny days. Great for early or late walks.

The beach is 5 minutes walk from the Metro, Øresund st. or Amager Strand st .. Lovely recreation area for everyone, children, cyclists, swimmers, kayakers. Clean and beautiful and a view to Sweden.

Amager strandpark is one of the most amazing place i have visited in CPH. I went with my bicycle for a morning round and had seen some amazing views. The place is also good for some morning jogging and exercise. I some some kids learning kayaking near by.

This beach is great, lots of spaces for any sort of activities and sports, very good facilities and generally very clean. Stop at the sea baths for a great opportunity to jump in the sea!

Staying in Amager

Neighbourhood Profile
Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
