The Church of Our Saviour's spiral steeple with outside stairway beckons across the Christianshavn neighborhood. Sitting almost adjacent to the time-warp hippie commune of Christiania, it is a movingly dignified and beautiful contrast. The sanctuary is simple and spiritual on a grand scale. The massive...More

We climbed the tower on a Sunday morning just before it got too busy. The climb is not for the faint hearted or those afraid of heights as a fair proportion is done outside. The views from the top are fabulous though and it was...More

This building is really unusual with its corkscrew like spire. Looking up at it does give you a strange feeling, well worth a visit.

This was a beautiful representation of the city and its glory. It provides a wonderful view into the history of the city. We original saw the church on a tour and then went back to visit and take pictures later.

The entrance fee is 40 kr. - totally worth it. If you are afraid of stairs and heights don't go there. Because it is a lot of stairs/ladders to climb up and the terrace is not big. The view on a nice day is fantastic!...More

The tours a great spot to get a nice view over Copenhagen. Though the climb up there's maybe challenging for some and the very top isn't good if you're afraid of heights.

Our tour of the city took us by this unusual looking church and we were given a brief history of it. Wish we had more time to see the inside. Not in favor of climbing the spiral outside.

Fully recommend climbing the outside spiral staircase. Not a hard climb for a moderately fit person. Worth the climb for the view when you reach the top. A unique experience.

Beautiful church that can be seen from anywhere in Copenhagen. I'm afraid of heights, but when I'm Copenhagen... you climb to the top. Beautiful views from a top and the journey there made me feel somewhat like Quasimodo! Not really for someone that's afraid of...More

Yes you are! You have to pay a fee for climbing the tower and that give you access to the church, no problem, just be careful with the flash
