Spiral

The church is pretty stunning especially with its unusual spire that has viewing points around it. Didn't go up as not great with heights like this and the stairs being narrow

You should not miss the chance to climb to the top of this marvelous church. Even though the interiors are not that exciting, the view from the top will certainly satisfy you! Well worth the admission fee and the climbing of the stairs.

Make the trek up the stairs if you aren't afraid of heights and you'll see great views of the city on a clear day.

Walk up the the many steps to feel like the God of Copenhagen! Beautiful 360 view of the city, most stunning on a sunny day. Don't leave without doing this.

Great views if you choose to climb all the steps up to the top. It is a bit energetic to walk to the top but there are plenty of stopping point's.

Sure, most people come to the Church of Our Saviour to climb the tower and get those inceredible views of the city. Don't miss spending some time inside the church, however. It's a beautiful and spiritual place.

The highlight of this church is its tower. From up there, you have the best view over the city centre, streching all the way to the Baltic. Recommended!

This is a great adventure for teens, couples, families- there are lots of stairs, so not good for those with mobility issues or little ones. First part of the climb is inside - past the bells (check the ringing times so you don't pass through when they're ringing), second part of climb is outside and exposed - fantastic views and... Just as your boat emerges from under a bridge, the audio announcer will have you ready to take a picture of this unique spire.

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
