Amazing church

The orgue in the church is absolutely amazing and someone was actually playing it!! The view from the tower is worth it! Prepare yourself for a steep climb though

One of the most extravagant church in Europe, they play songs of rock/blues/pop every hours ehehe. Not free to visit, the roof is the main attraction, Located next to Christiania Village

The outdoors spiral stairs on outside of the spire are broad and safe. Some of the internal steps are more awkward and difficult for people travelling in opposite directions. However the experience far outweighs the difficulty.

Amazing views from the top and an authentic experience! Worth the price, and you do get a student rate discount.

Upon first look, my husband and I weren't sure we could complete the climb to the top of the exterior spiral but once we were underway, we found that we were more comfortable than we had first thought. I think it was due to the very high gold railing that encircles the tower. The total steps are around 400 and... More

Excellent view of the city and you can climb right to the top. The highest part of the tower is all outside, so i recommend not wearing skirts or scarves or clothing that could get caught in the wind, there isn't really another view like it across the city, i prefer this to the round tower, but it is more... 400 stairs to the top and then an additional 100+ outside, but you will forget all about them once you reach the top!! At some parts on the way up the space is very small, so this is probably not for the claustrophobic type, but the climb is so worth the views on a clear day. Costs about 35 Danish... More

I would recommend that you climb to the top of the tower, the views of Copenhagen are amazing!! Just a note, it is quite a steep climb up narrow stairs both on the inside and on the outside of the tower. Try and go early as it does get busy and you may have to wait a while before you... More

If you don't panic when being on the 100-m tower - this place must be visited. One of the best panoramans of Copenhagen from the heart of the Cristiania area.

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
