It's a nice church in itself. But if you're going specifically for the tower I think you get a better view from the Round Tower in the city centre. Not that its a bad view. But its a far more difficult incline to the top.

The Church of Our Savior is worth the visit. It has a unique spire that stands out. You can pay a fee to go to the top for good views. I found the interior of the church better. There are posters explaining the Reformation and Luther. The pews are old numbered with latches and doors. The ceiling is very pretty... More

Visited on a windy day - be prepared as it gets worse as you ascend. It costs around DKR50 for a single ticket to the top. If you have vertigo you can get reasonably high inside the tower, but the last few steps may be difficult as they are outside. There is a viewing area as you get outside so... More

Very much enjoyed the climb to the top of the tower, it was worth the trip. Once you go through the door leading outside the entire experience changes as you look down. The beautiful gold railings and the walkway spiraling to the top is an incredible experience. It gets kind of crowed near the very top and there is only... More

You have to see it. We only got to walk around the outside but it's just beautiful. Take the time to visit.

In the weekend was 45 DKK per person, but it is still recommended highly! We had a great sunny day and even my pregnant fiancée managed to walk all the way to the top, so it's not that bad. There can be some queuing to the top area, but in our case the rush was not bad. Great views from... More

I have been to both and I can assure you the view form here is way more spectacular. It's a challenge to reach the top thought because the stairway is narrow and only fit one person, you will have to give way to people coming down as you go up

The hike to the top is what you would expect in an old church, and similar to many other old church towers I have climbed. Often steep and narrow, you have to squeeze by others going the other direction, at times. When you pop outside, at the top, be sure to go left, not right, or you may get stuck... More

If you are walking back from Christiana the spire will dominate the skyline. The interior was spectacular and reflected the grandeur and reverence of past generations.

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
