During our stay in Copenhagen, we seemed to encounter massive construction sites wherever we went. Much of this construction is as a consequence of work on Copenhagen's underground railway system. One such example was the King's Square. No doubt, this is normally a delightful city...More

The square is dominated by construction equipment, so there was nothing to see while we were there. However, it is right next to Nyhavn, so you should walk through to see the old buildings. We also had fantastic Danish hot dogs right next to the...More

Currently a massive construction site .. but you can still see the beautiful buildings all around the square. Still worth a minute on your way to Nyhaven.

There's not much to see. Hoarding, cement trucks. It's under construction at the moment, but a tip for potential visitors - don't eat at the cafe. Not only is it very unappealing visually, it's also incredibly expensive!

You are warned and I should have read the Tripadviser's input of 2014!!!! Nice looking belle-époque kiosk in the centre of this actual ugly building site of the Kings Theatre square, but we were in for a coffee. For 4 coffees and 4 biscuits I...More

This is a noisy construction site at the moment due to the new metro extension - will be done by 2019. There is no point visiting to see the square but you will inevitably come across this area when you visit attractions such as Nyhavn...More

Summer time is the best time to visit this area. There's a flea market in the square. There's a big (quite expensive) shopping center nearby

This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its
blend of charming old buildings and bold new
architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well
as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner
city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which
consists of three buildings, two of which are new and
situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and
venues of the inner city and its surrounding
