The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Nice way to spend an afternoon
This park with lots to see and do is free to go to and is beautiful. Well looked after and a castle at one end( entrance fee), it is lovely to spend a while wandering. There are lots of different areas to explore with statues and colourful plants. Plenty of seating to sit and enjoy. There are toilets and a cafe in the gardens too.

    Wonderful Place to Stroll
Before or after visiting Rosenberg castle it would be nice to stroll , relax or even take photos of the flowers and wonderful surroundings. Some nice statues with definite history in it can also be worth noting. No charging fees for visiting this one.

    A Beautiful King's Garden!!
Entry is free into Kongens Have - The King's Garden, beside the King's Castle, is a well manicured garden with sculptures and landdscape of blooming flowers and plants. Its lovely for picnic and photography opportunities. A Layout Plan indicated the routes inside the vast garden. Toilets , Cafe and seating available in this Garden. There are lots of visitors thus it not easy to snap most of the pictures. Birds & squirrels seen on the greens while group of geese taking their stroll along the lawn .Inside the pond there are plenty of fishes and colorful ducks happily swimming. Wonderful place for birdwatching , its worth the visit !!!

One of my last attractions in individual city tour. Great in nice weather when people enjoy park nature. The castle is next part of visit , especially for foreigners.

I found this park wonderful to stroll in. I ventured through it yesterday and it made for a nice experience when journeying through the city center of Copenhagen. Lovely statues, good green and a friendly inviting atmosphere.

A really beautiful garden, and of all things located right beside the Rosenborg Castle where you can combine your itinerary into one! But note, although they say the gate connecting the two are open, on my visit it was closed.

The Garden is a definite must-see, especially for nature enthusiasts. Bask in the environment and the way-of-life of the Danish people when you visit here. The park is open for all, free.

Nearest Metro Stations are Nørreport (to the west) or Marmorkirken (to the east).

We only walked through this park but it was a beautiful space to spend that little bit of time. It was a Sunday afternoon and lots of people were out with picnic blankets eating and playing lawn games.

This is a nice park for a stroll on a sunny day. The gardens are worth a look. Equally nice is the use of the park by residents of Copenhagen. It is clearly very much a resource for the community.

FREE entrance here! After visiting the Rosenborg Castle ( located next to it), I visited this attraction. There is a big female statue here facing the garden. The hedges are nicely trimmed and some flowers are blooming. I rested at one of the benches and enjoyed the ambience.

I met here another Solo traveller named Mel and we swapped some travelling stories. I enjoyed my visit here!

The King's Garden right in front of Rosenborg Slot - plenty of space where locals gather with their friends and reconnect.
