For hundreds of years the Danes were an unstoppable force of warriors,...

For hundreds of years the Danes were an unstoppable force of warriors, explorers and settlers – uniting Scandinavia, discovering America and bringing terror to the shores of Europe. Today Copenhagen’s history of fire and bloody battles lies hidden behind picturesque streets and colorful harbors. As the days of conquest passed, Danish power was replaced with a rich cultural legacy of writers, artists and philosophers. The fairytale feel of the city where Hans Christian Andersen wrote is the home of incredible stories and unbelievably true histories: Viking adventurers; pirate-hunting Bishop Absalon; daring Danish WWII resistance fighters and more. Our local expert guides will take you on a 3 hour walking tour through 6000 years of Copenhagen’s history and you’ll find out why the Danes are some of the happiest people in the world!

Very good tour, Caroline was very informative and nice. She provided us with tips to go around the city and gave us new insights on the history and context of CPH. Definitely recommend it.

We decided to join the tour as we had done the Berlin one the week before and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately the tour of Copenhagen by Martin was neither informative or interesting, he kept saying he would tell us about some fact or piece of information later and that never happened. He is a nice guy but did not capture... More

Felix maybe had an off-day when we arrived. We went on the free and alternative tours with him, the free tour wasn't great, I felt it was very rushed and the questions we asked weren't answered. The alternative tour was okay, I liked the story on Christiania. Sorry!

I spent 5 marvellous days in Copenhagen, I absolutely fell in love with the city, and the free walking tour I took with Martin achieved to amaze me!! I already walked around the city by myself many times but I felt it had many secrets left to unveil and I am on a budget so can't really afford doing a... More

Perhaps the tour was enjoyed by others but I don't feel like we learned much. Didn't receive explanation on buildings or parts of the city we passed. Or had to stop guide and ask. Lots of talking, wordy, with no info on historical or cultural aspects of the city. Was a bit bizarre to be honest. I actually felt down... More

Had a free walking tour with Martin who found us lost for where to go in the tourist information office and suggested the tour. It's brilliant, he's a friendly funny and very informative tour guide and a brilliant way to see the city. Would definitely recommend especially if on a tight timetable like us.
