I went to the museum with the children. Firstly, the place seemed empty. It was rather empty. When we got in, the ticket seller was so engrossed in conversation with another person, that they did not serve us and we just walked in without buying a ticket after waiting 5 minutes. The exhibition was not too clearly signposted and half... More

I guess it depends on who or what is exibiting but from our viewpoint on the day not very exciting. On entering the museum it was also really far to warm ...in the middel of winter, quite uncomfortable and not conducive to a relaxed stroll around to appreciate the exhibits.

Esbjerg Kunstmuseum punches above it's weight - it's an excellent contemporary art museum in a small city. (Having oil money rushing through the local economy helps.) Don't miss the 'Feel Before You See' exhibit on the basement floor - you stick your hand through a hole and feel a variety of sculptures before you open the trap door to see... More

We are still not sure about this one. The building is part of a newish performing arts center and done by the man responsible for the Sydney Opera House it is impressive but not really awe inspiring. It's interesting but a little puzzling. The Museum sort of wanders off to one side. The most unusual aspect is the Art Storage... More

This museum is one of my favorites in the world...maybe it is sentimental attachment, but I never tire of going here and walking the familiar halls. Esbjerg isn't as charming as it used to be, but if you do find yourself there, the art museum should be a must-see
