Great place for long walks!

Wonderful place for long walks in the woods and the seaside. The trails are well-kept, and you can choose a shorter or longer route.

This beautiful forest reminded me of forests I have enjoyed in England and Wales. Good footpaths and even roads. There is a magical thatched-roof restaurant, an old mill I believe, which I would love to go back to because it was full the day we were there. Walk from the Moesgard Museum to the sea.

I have only good things to say about Moesgaard. It has been refurbished and evidently whoever was involved with this did a very good job. We had an excellent day there. There is so much information about people who lived in the past and you get an insight into how people probably lived. It is suitable for all ages. I... More

If you are in Aarhus and feel like getting away into nature for a few hours, go to Moesgaard Skov for a walk, a trip to the nearby beach, a spin on the mountain bike or a bite in one of the historic water mills turned restaurants.

Moesgard forest was a wonderful hike and offers a natural escape with a variety of options. The forest includes interpretive plaques and conserved historical sites offering insight into life in the past. In addition, there is an extensive trail system with separate trails for mountain bikers, horseback riders, and hikers - allowing you to feel a sense of isolation but... More

From Moesgard Museum you can do a walk which takes you past a number of reconstructed historic sites. The walk is about 3km long and called the Prehistoric Trackway. It crosses fields and takes you into the forest and on to Moesgard beach. Along the way you pass Long Barrows and burial chambers dating back to 3500 BC, some are... More

This is an amazing place, ideal for the whole family. The locals go here by bike but you can also reach the forest by car. I recommend you to go in the morning, as early as 10 am because it's the best and most enjoyable time. You also need to chose a sunny day, when staying outdoor is what we... More

After a week in the office and the city I was yearning for a place to stretch my legs and air out a bit. The beach itself is rather narrow and covered in sea weed. The forest itself is varied with pine, beech and alder. In the middle there's the old water mill, bit expensive but service is good and... More

Very Pretty both nice and day, lovely road to either ride down or drive through. Really wonderful just walking from the beach, straight into the forest. Very close to Aarhus and the museums. You can park near the kiosk at Moesgard beach, where you can also buy snacks and refreshments in summer.
