Okay if you visit the other places in the guide you get from the museum but not worth doing alone. There is a leaflet with a guide showing the main places to visit in the town if you want to find out about Anderson.

It was great to view his childhood home (between 2-12 years of age). We knew nothing about his life or upbringing, so it was good to see & learn of this. It gave some ‘insight’ into many of his Fairytales

I might not have bought just this ticket, but because it was part of the 5 & 1 price we did go in and it was informative. It's a very small house and could get crowded, but they did have information to read about his...More

In truth, there is not that much to see here and some of the information offered is, admittedly, based upon supposition. That said, it is lovely to be able to visit and view the very small childhood home of a world wide known giant of...More

The strange atmosphere in this small childhood house is maybe due to the fact that HC Andersen was really a tall man. I guess he moved out really early in his childhood ages. You can visit the house in just a few minutes. Nicely kept...More

It is difficult not to be transported to HCA times in this little house. Very nicely kept and charming gardens.

Just like any other Danish town has kept the authenticity. Take you to back in time. Comfortable and budget hotels and nice restaurants around.

This is one of the museums you can get in the 5 for 1 H. C. Andersen museums and worth a look if you've chosen that. Otherwise don't go there's not much to see.
