Beautiful waterfront setting for this unusual church dedicated to two saints. The interior is cavernous and beautifully adorned. The exterior is visible from many parts of the waterfront. I visited on a rainy day which made for a most atmospheric setting. Inside, I sat in...More

After St. Nicholas cathedral, visiting another church was the best we could do. Located on the port of Volos, the doors are the front of the sea. Well, this makes you feel close to God more than never. We hope to come back.

Beautiful Church at the end of the port of Volos with unlimited view. Inside the Church has beautiful paintings of Saints and an impressive multichandelier in Cross form. The best time of the day to visit thiw point is late in the afternoon.

Since my husband's father was baptized here, it was our first stop in Volos. He learned that the church had since been rebuilt after a fire (maybe 1930s?) The church sits along the water facing Palia. Beautiful and well maintained.

Almost 100 years old, this church became a reference point of the city. Take a walk along the shore and see it from all angles. Make really nice panoramas.

A beautiful location with a great view of the port, the sea front and the town of Volos. Combine your visit there with a walk at the front. The atmoshere is really relaxing and calming and the church is always welcoming to visitors.

Maybe a priest at a local Greek Orthodox Church could answer your question or find someone to help. We were also there in June. My husband speaks Greek but doesn't read it.
