    Archimedes’ museum
This little museum is a great treasure. Who knew Archimedes discovered/invented so much. The museum’s replications of his many inventions are fantastic as are their descriptions of his math discoveries. There are a lot of hands on displays to engage both children and adults. Free entrance but you’ll want to leave a donation to help the museum. Don’t miss it while you’re in Olympia.
Thank you for your review! We are glad you have enjoyed your visit! Hope you have the chance to visit our Museum once again in the future!

    Worth visiting
Worth visiting! Small but entertaining museum, whether your an adult or a child. Excellent and detailed explanations, better than the museums I visited in Athens. Some exhibits are interactive. The whole thing can be visited in 30 mins.
Thank you for your great review and your kind words about our Museum of Ancient Greek Technology and the reconstructed inventions of the ancient time. Hope you have the chance to visit our Museum once again in the future!

A gem of a museum: find out how inventive the ancient Greeks were!
A delightful visit to this small museum, packed with interesting, informative and interactive displays. It was fantastic fun to play complex tic-tac-toe (with nine pieces each and a complex board), and there are many other 'ancient' board games, to test out the first 'burglar alarm', see the starter mechanism for races at the ancient Olympic games and many more. The staff are dedicated and helpful and very knowledgeable. Well worth a visit!

    Well worth the Time
This is only a small museum but it is full of the most incredible and interesting inventions, some I knew about, many others I didn’t. Our host, Dora was fascinating, with her knowledge of how each invention worked! She was generous with her time and her passion was visible. It is a donation only museum and there are hands on activities for children. A great hour spent!

Excellent little museum. And free!! Donations welcome.
What a brilliant little museum. Set up by a philanthropist and costing nothing to enter (there is a donation box) this is a little gem. It covers many of the extraordinary inventions he created and explains them in English as well as Greek. The models are fabulous and there are interactive sections for kids. Really great!

Ancient Greek Technology bought to Life at the Archimedes Museum in Olympia Greece
We had a blast exploring this small but packed museum that contained working replicas of technology that was invented in Greece by the likes of Archimedes, Heron, Ktesibios, and Philon. We were given an excellent tour by a young lady highlighting and demonstrating the technology. Highly recommended. There was no charge to enter, however a small donation was encouraged. We probably spent about one hour there.

    Interesting and interactive
Interestingly museum about Archimedes and his inventions, some which you can use. The doorbell invention was my favourite. Knowledgeable staff to tell you the stories behind the inventions. Would be fun with kids. Free entry, donations accepted.

10 out of 10 - you must go.
10/10- you must visit. As written by a 9 and 11 year old: it was great because it was interactive and the lady that worked there took time to show us the exhibits and explain how the machines were built and how they worked. I loved the way that you could see the insides of the machines and how they worked, also that you can try these amazing inventions yourself. It helped me realise how things are made and how they work. By mum and dad: the boys were thoroughly captivated. Especially by the pulley system activity where they had to land the boats. We loved it too. There was time to play games watch each of the systems working on a tv display and many interactive stations that were incredible. We were there just over an hour. It was fantastic. So glad we stopped by. You must go.

No entrance fee, just donations. Small area, perhaps about 80 SQ. Meters. You can see some artifacts create by Archimedes.
