an interesting market spread into various sections which range from household items, clothing, meat and, most noticeable by the smell, fish. Covered in places this is a traditional street market and not to be missed.

If you want to see how were the markets in Greece 50 years ago then you need to visit Market. You can find fish, meat, souvenirs, cheap clothes, even small taverns to have a "tsipouro" and a "meze".
Suggest to visit the market morning maximum noon in order to see all shops as most of them are closing in the afternoon.

This is a lively market, made up of multiple stalls and storefronts, covering several city blocks. Its's worth a short visit.

Wonderfully authentic market in central Thessaloniki. Selling everything from olive oil soap to entrails. And everything in between. Very "local". We got some delicious halva here and some fun souvenirs to bring back to the family.

An interesting window on what the locals buy and good for browsing. Lots of fish, meat, olives/bakery stalls, quite noisy, but lots of atmosphere.

This is a large market in the center of town. It has all kinds of olives, cheeses, meats and fish. In addition, it has a wide variety of clothing and other items. The produce, fruit, meat and fish are very fresh ad inviting. The stall owners are friendly, and some speak a little English. They are willing to help with choices. It is worth it just to walk around and see what is offered. The market is open every day except Sunday. Saturday is the big day so everything is open. There is a really good bakery right at the edge of the market.

Really authentic Greek market experience, you can buy everything here. Not really designed as a tourist trap as there's not much cooked food here, but that's part of the charm.

Go a bit early as we arrived around 2pm and many places seems to be shutting down for lunch, and when we returned after lunch everything were closed.

Good market with variety of fruit, vegetables meat and fish. There is also a section with flea market vibe, so something for everyone. Busy with locals but good place for tourists to wander.
