Great museum -much better that Athens

This is a wonderful museum for anyone interested in Byzantium giving a very full picture of the art and times, usually not busy.

The byzantine empire left a mark on Thessaloniki. The whole town is full of monuments for the traveler who wants to discover them- and this museum is an excellent start

The building itself is unique, spacious and with the mystique of Byzantine (although quite modern) Look for... More

As a Canadian of Greek herotage, these was a few gaps on Greek history. The visit to the Byzantine and Macedonian museums helped fill in a few of those gaps. Worth the visit!
