This beach is worth a visit just for the drive to it, I'll say no more to avoid ruining the surprise. One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Kids loved every minute we were there and complained when we had to leave.

Visited Kefalonia in May and visited Myrtos Beach! A lovely day spent sunbathing, swimming and enjoying a delicious picnic made from local cheeses, olives and salad. Facilities are practically non existent and if you have a young family you will need to take supplies. There...More

This beach is photographed, put on postcards and touted as a beautiful sandy beach. I even read a celebrity review of it in The Mail on Sunday years ago; they called it a sandy paradise with soft white sands. Possibly in a couple of million...More

I was here during big waves, which did not allow to swim, but you can only watch the incredible blue sea and snow white pebbles. It is very impressive. Although it was before season, there is not one umbrella or restaurant and even toilette! That...More

A stunning view from the road above. A long and winding road down to ample parking. Toilet facilities need updating. The beech starts off Sandy but turns to pebble near the sea which looks inviting. You need shoes on to walk to the sea and...More

Shocked to see the beach looking so derelict. Unsafe bathing for children. Sands were white but lots of debris and rubbish. Looks better on photos than real life

We were fortunate to stay in a location with a fabulous view of Myrtos beach and trust me when I share that the view never got old. The eyebrow shape of the cove, the stunning clarity and color of the water and the brilliant white...More

We stopped there today as a place on a guided tour. The guide warned anyone swimming that when in the water it goes from shallow to out of you depth in only a few steps. I think that's worth knowing as there were beautiful waves...More

I think the nearest holiday accomodation maybe in Assos - a beautiful little village.

There is some sandy bits to lay on, but you need to cross pebbles to get in the sea
