And the small rustic cafe at the foot of the castle worth a visit if only to see the owners smile !

Absolutely outstanding views, all around the castle. Its great you can explore it for free aswell. Free parking, and a restaurant up there. Be mindful of what footwear you wear!

The castle itself is cute, but the view is spectacular! We actually just came to take some beautiful pictures and it worked out pretty good! It’s not so crowded so you can really make the most out of your visit.

Sadly as with all these type of places the stones have been removed to be re used somewhere else. You can still see what used to be there only by looking down on the floor at the old foundations. The view from up there is magnificent and worth the trek up hill.

Excellent views of the Mediterranean Sea. Quiet tourist attraction that allows you take spectacular photos. Free to enter. Wear good shoes with un even surfaces. There are toilets on site and maintained. A small cafe area too. A little pricey but worth it. Takes between 30 minutes to 40 minutes to explore.

This is a very nice spit with a great castle which is not only a ruin.
.
You acezss it easily by car and then 5mn of stairs.
You will enjoy a fantastic spot with Greek Islands on the background, which is unique to this coast as the most famous ine, East Coast, is close to Turkey and does not offer this.
A smalll roll is open inside where you can see the walls.
If yiu stay on the East Coast as most of the Tourists, take the West-East road which is crossing the center if Rhodes Island. Nothing to do but incredible nature and nobody !
You will also see very typical Rhodes villages with no Tourists 👍

If you fancy paying a visit to Ancient Castle Ruins, then take a trip to Kritinia where you will find just such a Castle. Not one for those who have trouble walking but otherwise a great place to climb the many steps and have an explore. Views from the Castle are breathtaking and ideal for your Photograph opportunity. Well worth a visit.

We rented a car and visited several places in Rhodes, including here.
Stunning views across the island, well worth the short visit.

This castle ruin is beautiful spot for sea views. But don't expect to learn anything. This place does not have any information signs or similar. You just have to google to learn the history of this place. I would say this place is not safe to visit with small kids or if you have trouble with balance or walking because there is steep stairs, big drops and uneven ground and no hand rails/safety rails anywhere.

Very beautiful ruin of a fortress on a rock. Of course, amazing view. Little Greece café near the car park for frappe and ice cream.

I think you really need a car. There are busses around the island but it could take a while. The island is really easy to drive around and the car rental is pretty cheap. We used Rodos cars and would definitely recommend them.
