The remains of Kritinia Castle are not much to look at, but the view is spectacular. Be sure to stop by the café at the foot of the hill.

We left Kamiros quite smug that we had beaten the crowds, satisfied we had seen all we wanted to and decided we had plenty of time to move on to Kritinia castle (Castello to the locals). The drive up this way passes right alongside the...More

Stopped by here in the morning at about 9. There were only 2 other people there at that time but were just leaving. I was basically alone and could really enjoy this historical place. Very nice and spectacular views from the castle itself. Breathtaking. There...More

Very nice castle. If you go there just before the sunset, the view from the top of it may be something unforgettable. Absolutely worth a visit.

Normally, this would be the sort of place I would give a "very good" rating to. It is a very small castle that has been partially restored. There is no entrance fee and the walk up is brief. There is not much in the way...More

It's only a small castle but the walk up to it is lovely and the views at the top over the Aegean sea are spectacular. Definitely worth a visit

I think you really need a car. There are busses around the island but it could take a while. The island is really easy to drive around and the car rental is pretty cheap. We used Rodos cars and would definitely recommend... More
