The land outside the zoo was burnt from wildfire in 2022. More animals. More interaction. Had lunch at the zoo. Had a vegetarian lunch with feta and quinoa which was delicious. You could have ostrich omelette because they have many of these birds. Saw many animals. Lovely day out. Free parking outside. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your return visit to our zoo! We are always making changes and improvements, and we are glad that you noticed. We are especially pleased that you enjoyed the increased opportunities for hands-on interaction with the animals. We also hope you enjoyed your vegetarian lunch. - Sharrie FBury St. Edmunds, United Kingdom9 contributionsGreat day out for everyoneWe discovered this place due to Tiktok and decided that we had to go while in Rhodes. When we arrived, we bought our tickets and some food for the animals. Everything is very well organised and the enclosures were close to eachother and a good walking distance throughout. The staff are amazing and knowledgeable and we spoke to a lovely woman who talked to us about the ostriches and it felt like a really personal experience. The enclosure with the Lemurs was amazing and the man was really helpful and knowledgeable, he talked to us about some of the Lemurs and how they were adjusting to being alone since some of them lost partners during wildfires and you could see he really cared. Having the Lemurs climb on us was amazing and such a fun experience. The food in the restaurant is lovely and the outside seating area was just gorgeous and had some beautiful flowers all over it. We are coming back next month and we plan to go to Farma of Rhodes again, but we are bringing all the family this time and we are so excited! This was an incredible day out and I would highly recommend it to anyone.Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed review! Staff are very knowledgeable and love to tell visitors about the animals. They know them very well and are clearly passionate about their care. Lemurs were the best bit! We got a taxi to the park as it wasn’t within walking distance from our hotel however I do think they could make look into doing a hotel shuttle service or similar. The tickets & food for the animals were great value and can also book tickets online which is cheaper.Thank you for sharing your experience! This is a wonderful place for a different experience. We have visited the ostrich farm twice on different occasions whilst visiting Rhodes now and thoroughly enjoyed it on both occasions.
Feeding Ostrich’s is an experience in itself that you cannot do every day and the enjoyment and giggles we had both adults and children were worth the entrance fee.
The petting zoo and contact with the other animals is just brilliant (beware of the pregnant goats though, they are keen to get your vegetables 😂).
The little cafe at the end of the walk is great to sit down and cool off in with a drink and they have a nice selection of food.
The farm really struggled after the wild fires last year and I was glad to see they are getting back on their feet, we will definitely continue to visit/ support them when we visit Rhodes in the future.

We were so glad to come here today. We had read that the farm had been affected by the forest fire in August and we were very keen to show our support and congratulate them on getting open again so quickly.
We stroked and fed lots of lovely animals; ostriches, cheeky goats, donkeys, ponies, the camel and lots of deer. And the lemurs were a real hit.
I'd recommend the cafe for ostrich and boar burgers, although due to the fire, they are on a limited menu at present. But you can still have an ostrich omelette.
Please visit. The owners lost their house in the fire but are still working flat out for the animals.

The petting zoo is very well organized and the animals look healthy. It is a small zoo but you can spend as much time as you like interacting with the animals.
They recently had a fire and lost 21 animals which was very sad to hear. So, there is a lot of transition taking place.
We wanted to support them to rebuild and reconstruct so we went there.
Don't give the ostriches all your corn. Save some for the goats, deer , and boars down the lane.
The sad part was at the end of the zoo where animals are crammed behind cages which we cannot even see. The lemurs are housed there (temporarily, I hope) and looked absolutely miserable. It was so disheartening to see them surrounded completely with stone walls and metal cages. I hope they will be moved back to their greener enclosure soon.
Our kids enjoyed feeding all the animals and getting to know their quirky personalities. We spent about 3 hours there.
The cafe, at the end, was very shady and welcoming after a hot day in the sun. We had some nice drinks there and enjoyed our sojourn with the animals.

Thank you very much! We are doing our best to keep our animals safe and restore their home after the devastating fires hit our area. Lemurs are temporary placed in the cage because their enclosure was destroyed and has to be rebuilt!

Lovely few hours spent here on our final day in Rhodes. Only 10 minutes from the airport so works well for those with an afternoon/evening flight. Came here for the kids and was one of the highlights of their holiday. It’s not huge, but unique in that you are encouraged to pet and feed all the animals. The children fed and petted the ostriches, camels and lemurs and had the best time. A good few hours can be whiled away here, enjoying the company of the animals. The children went into the Ostrich enclosure and held an Ostrich egg - not something I thought my daughter would dare do, but the friendly guide went in with them and was very encouraging and knowledgeable. We also met the owner who shared his passion for animals and how he loves seeing the children all have fun. Definitely a family feel about the place which was nice. Would recommend.

We visited in the morning, so there were only 3 other people.
Animals are very friendly, once they see you’ve got cup of veggies (2€) they come running. Ostriches (many, they’re bred there and there’s a restaurant full of ostrich theme food so imagine... ), donkeys, kangaroos, camels (really small living area), pigs, all kinds of poultry and goats you can walk freely with.. one chicken in the cage limping pretty bad :( paid 7€ for adult.

During my stay in Rhodes I discovered Farma of Rhodes, a charming petting zoo and small zoo where young and old get the chance to get close to animals and get a unique, interactive experience. This place is a paradise for animal lovers and families looking for a fun, educational activity.
The Animals
One of the biggest pluses of Farma of Rhodes is the variety of animals that can be found there. From goats and sheep to donkeys, rabbits and cute Lemurs, there is something for everyone. The best part is that you can not only look at the animals, but also interact with them. Feeding the animals, for example, is a highlight for children (and secretly also for adults), who can experience the animals up close with wide eyes and wide smiles. The animals are friendly and accustomed to visitors, which guarantees a safe and fun experience.
Interactive Activities
What really makes Farma of Rhodes special is the possibility of interaction. Not only can you pet and feed the animals, but there are also special places where you can enter the enclosure, for example. This makes it an unforgettable experience for children in which they not only have fun, but also learn about the animals and their behavior.
The Atmosphere
The farm itself exudes a rustic and relaxed atmosphere. The site is well cared for and spacious, so the animals have a lot of freedom of movement. The green surroundings with trees and flowers contribute to the natural, friendly atmosphere. It feels like you are away from the tourist crowds and you are in an oasis of peace and simplicity.
Hospitality
The Farma of Rhodes staff deserves a Special Listing. From the moment you arrive, you are warmly welcomed and you notice that they have a great passion for their work and the animals. They are always ready to answer questions and make time to tell you more about the animals and the farm. This personal approach makes the experience even more special.
We would like to thank the lady of the Lemur residence in particular for her educational and fun explanation.
Good for Families
Farma of Rhodes is the perfect place for a family getaway. The children can have fun with the animals, while parents can enjoy the tranquility and beautiful surroundings. There are also shaded areas where you can take a rest, which is a pleasant side effect during the warm days in Rhodes.
Value for money
Access to the farm is very affordable, especially considering the interactive experiences on offer. It's a great way to spend an afternoon without having to dig deep into your pocket. The smiles of the children and the precious memories you gain here make it worth every penny.
Conclusion
Farma of Rhodes is much more than just a petting zoo. It is a place where you get the chance to really get in touch with animals and at the same time enjoy the beautiful surroundings and hospitality. Whether you are a family with young children or just love animals, this is a place not to be missed during your stay in Rhodes.

We fed and stroked the Ostriches which was an amazing experience, the lady was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable entering the enclosure.
We then got to feed the horses, dokeys, goats, warthogs and camels. The food was only €2 and lasted for all the animals which was great value. We then got to enter the lemur enclosure where the guy told us lots about them and let the lemurs climb on us. Overall all the staff were very friendly, the animals are well looked after and its was amazing value for money! Will definitely be back when we next come to Rhodes!

Our excursion was cancelled, so we rented a car and just drove around Rhodos to find nice spots to visit. I read about the petting zoo before on the internet and I am grateful we visited it.
The staff was really nice. Especially the woman who was working with the ostriches. She explained a lot about these animals and was extremely nice and open for every question. We are really happy we decided to go to this experience!
Would visit next time, hope we could pet the rabbits and guinea pigs in the future as well ;-)

What an amazing petting zoo! We went with our 18 month old and she absolutely loved feeding the animals. The talks by the keepers are really good an informative, and the animals are very keen to see you if you have the food which you can buy upon entry. So reasonably priced and a great way to spend a couple of hours if you’re visiting Rhodes. Also if you visit the cafe The menu is all vegetarian/vegan but the do fish fingers and chicken nuggets for kids. Myself and my partner both eat meat but had the mushroom gyros which were to DIE for!!! Couldn’t recommend the park as a whole enough ☺️

Hi!
We're thinking of visiting in the next few days, but we're concerned that the animals we see might also be on the menu in the restaurant.
Are these animals also farmed to be eaten?
Many thanks in advance :)

The only thing I can think off that’s on the menu, is the ostrich egg, omelets, sandwiches, there is other things on the menu but nothing to be concerned about regarding the other animals, it’s very lovely food there

Can you get to the zoo easily from Rhodes Town without a car?

Well not really, it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. We drove there and that was easy.
