About
With a shallow seabed and gentle waters, Tsambika Beach is a great swimming spot, especially for beginners and families with young children. Water sports like jet skiing and parasailing are on offer, and kids and adults alike will love the inflatable water parks. Bars and restaurants dot the beach, and shower and bathroom facilities are available. Get in early to secure a sunbed front row by the sea.
Above the beach sits Tsambika Monastery, accessible via a steep road and stairway. This historic landmark is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and many people journey here seeking blessings of health and fertility.

- Jj R.Tralee, Ireland5 contributionsLovely beachOne of the nicest beaches we've visited in Rhodes. 2x Sunbeds+ Umbrella from 15e per set. Few nice bars and restaurants around, beautiful landscape, great for taking photos.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 May 2023
- john aBristol, United Kingdom26 contributionsI have visited this restaurant many timesTsambika beach remains the best beach on the island of Rhodes and Alamo beach restaurant on the beach itself will not disappoint. Once you have visited this restaurant, you will never go anywhere else. I believe these people have other restaurants on the island, make for one and see for yourself?Visited June 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 22 June 2023
- LibertyUnited Kingdom12 contributionsMust visit beachA great beach. The chairs are €20 per umbrella which I think is reasonable considering the quality of the seats. The water sports on site are affordable and very fun. There are restaurants and shops available to pick up drinks and snacks which is handy. However, it’s unfortunate that there is not a non-smoking area. There was a couple near us who was smoking continually disturbing the peace of many people sat near them.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 July 2023
- DenisaBrussels, Belgium4 contributionsGreat experienceSeats: 20€ for 2 of them and an umbrela per day which is quite fair considering they are quite big and nice The beach overall was amazing, very clean, showers, changing rooms, the water was extremely clean and it was amazing to stay in the sea and see mountains in your left and right. Water sports around with quite cheap prices. I have enjoyed with my friends the waterpark in the sea. Very friendly staff, we had the same guy each day, he always checked with us how we are, if everything is good. If you ever see this review I am talking about you “brother”. Overall a great experienceVisited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 11 July 2023
- ElynaFrance5 contributionsBest beach in RhodesTsambika Beach is the best beach in Rhodes with calm green waters and fine golden sand. You can rent sunbeds and an umbrella for 20 Euros. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy the sun. There is free parking.Visited July 2023Written 15 July 2023
- Jessica S1 contributionGood but bring change !Nice place but bring change !!!! Bathroom cost 50 cent and the woman who you give the money to refuses to give you your change if you overpay. Still had a great time and lots of activities to do.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 July 2023
- Nella S3 contributionsAmazingAMAZING - I must go for anybody visiting the island. Clean and luke warm water, good service on the beach as shower, toilett, food drinks and icecream. 20 euro for 2 seats with thick madress, parasoll and table. The water is not deep and perfect for families with small children. Big parking for free.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 August 2023
- Scott BDoncaster, United Kingdom30 contributionsTsambika beachThe beach and see is the best in south Rhodes beautiful sand and the sea is clear warm and perfect . The beach beds I thought were exceptionally cheap 30 euros for 3 and were comfy. The beach bars were very good . Only downside is how overcrowded the beach is very very busy and service in said bars suffers . However would definitely returnVisited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 19 August 2023
- emmajean100London, United Kingdom11 contributionsGreat day at the beachGreat day at the beach with some nice touches to keep you comfortable and the teenagers entertained all day! We arrived early about 10:30 and it was quiet but to be fair there was still some spare loungers when we left late afternoon. We paid 25 euros for two lounges & umbrella in the 2nd row (1st row was 30 and further back on some old loungers 20.) They were really well looked after wooden loungers with thick padding. There is a waiter service for food or drink or you can visit one of the two beach bars. The food was delicious and reasonable (chicken wrap 11 euros). There were two giant inflatable water parks for the kids. We paid 15 euros per person for unlimited 4 hour access. Would thoroughly recommend.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 August 2023
- ManchesterBoo81 contributionsLovely, picturesque beachWe drove here because we had booked the inflatable course at Bloom Waterpark. Sunbeds were 15 Euros for 2 with umbrella. There was loads of parking available towards the bottom end, but it looked to quite busy after 11am at the top part. Long sandy beach, which is in quite a picturesque bay. We had lunch at one of the snack bars, which was reasonably priced. Water seemed to be quite salty here, but otherwise a good spot for snorkelling, water sports and swimming.Visited August 2023Written 23 August 2023

Great beach - although can be quite choppy.
20 euro sun-beds + umbrella. Massage services, water sports, and good range of food and drink from the bars.

Beautiful sand and water. Oldest kid enjoyed the inflatable park in the water. There are also watersports and massages that we didn't do. We paid 20 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, which is a bit expensive, but that's how it seems to be in Greece... In Mykonos it was more than double.
Tip: There are no taxis waiting there, so make sure you have a way to get back!

Nice beach, very good sand, suitable to play for our 1 year old. Beautiful views. We visited at the end of August, it was nice time and not very crowded before noon. I didn't think it was excellent because it could have been cleaner, people throwing trash and cigarettes are ruining it for everyone. Also hard to find a spot if you want to just stay in the sand and not rent the expensive beach chairs/beds. If you are looking for "isolated quiet beach" than try another one.

Absolutely beautiful beach. Its fairly shallow for about 30 metres or so and a sandy seabed.
The only negatives are the price of the sunbeds and restaurant prices. We paid 25 euros for 2 beds and a parasol ,pretty shocking. There are about 5 eateries on the beach and all of them were similarly high prices.
For those two reasons I wouldn't visit again.
Maybe best to take a packed lunch and just put your towels down on the beach.

From what I can see, Tsambika beach is quite long. Can you recommend a nice area of the beach that has a park nearby. Thank you!

Учитывая, что сейчас высокий сезон мест на шезлонгах может и не быть... на всякий случай лучше взять свой зонт и коврики
