The whole island of Sifnos has beautiful beaches but the combination of the stunning church out on the rocks along with the blue seas and skies makes this particular beach my favourite. Two tavernas, both selling tasty food in glorious settings and the most sheltered...More

We walked from Platy Glaios and found it a bit steep and uneven in places, best keep to the road, although still a long down hill. We found it worth continuing to Faros by coastal path,30 minutes, (very good surface) and bus back via Apollonian...More

Definitely worth a visit to light a candle and then take a dip in the crystal clear waters either side of the white Tower. Take your goggles and make a day of it.

Very nice monastery, but what's most important, the rocks around it are simply the best place to swim on the whole Sifnos island. It's not crowded, water is crystal clear and rather calm even on windy days. Just don't forget your swimming goggles!

We were looking for swim spots to rival those in Croatia and this really delivered! It's such a stunning setting and you can swim on either side of the peninsula on which the monastery is built (and even swim through a grotto connecting them). When...More

We walked there from Gialos and loved it, takes approximately 20mn and is a nice walk. (I am currently 7 months pregnant and managed perfectly). You can then find a rock and bath from there. Amazing!

Well worth the visit, the Chriopigi Monastery is beautiful and stunning. Situated on a small outcropping of rock, you can drive directly to it. There are rudimentary facilities available, however they weren't the worst we experienced during our trip.

This is my fourth time in Sifnos because of this wonderful place. A picturesque aegean monastery built on grey slippery rocks, beautiful and serene while a perfect place to swim and dive. Avoid it on summer weekends as there are lots of marriages and baptisms...More
