After reading and hearing a lot of recommendations for Mavrospilia (in Greek meaning "black cave"), we decided to visit. We found it a bit underwhelming when compared to other beaches in Kimolos, and the fact that it was a windy day and sand was constantly...More

this is one of the romantic spots in the island, if you enjoy sunsets etc. Keep in mind that North West streams and gulfs can be un-pleasant. The sea is not the best, so drop by late in the evening for a short stay and...More

Beautiful beach and one of my favorites anywhere. Interesting rocks at each end of the beach and really loads of space on the beach for privacy.

I arrived to Mavrospilia beach after hiking through a trail from Chorio, beautiful hike and beautiful lonely beach, in June I was there on my own. Crystal clear waters and beautiful rocky formations. Worth visiting, if you can hike the trail even better!

Long sandy beach, crystal clear water, not far from Psathi. Nudism is possible (like in the neighbourhood beaches of Ellinika and Dekas) at least in the beginning and the end of the season when it is not so busy

Tucked away on the west of Kimolos but well worth a visit. Great for swimming and exploring the rocks and a sunset that easily tops Santorini. My favourite beach for relaxing and swimming in the Cyclades.

Really nice beach with sand and the view is amassing in the sunset. The sun is setting between the black rocks coming out of the sea!
