Outstanding view, something you don't see anywhere else! Talking to the monks was super interesting. Very hot and then off to Agia Anna beach with the clearest water I have ever seen!

This is a very impressive and sacred monastery, and well worth seeking out if you are on the island. I stayed on Amorgos for six days and saw this as part of an organized island tour. It's a long climb up and down, so wear...More

This is a monastery, not a tourist attraction, so respect is in order. Women must wear below-the-knee skirts or dresses and cover their shoulders. Men wear long pants. On the inside you can visit 3-4 fairly small rooms, some with icons, none as impressive as...More

A site of absolute wonder and awe. Unmissable during your stay on Amorgos. Suggest doing this in the morning or late afternoon

So glad to have visited this very special place. A truly uplifting experience. Not suitable at all for anyone who is unfit or with mobility issues because of the steps. Good cardio-vascular exercise!

This is a unique and unusual building built into a cliff face, looked after by a few monks. Your have to wear long trousers (men) and skirts (Women) but it is worth it
