A nice walk with through the ancient site. Try to pick a cool day as we went during the hot afternoon and it was a bit too much

The Fortezza in Rethymnon is a very nice old Fort with a wonderful view over the city and the sea. The price for a single ticket is 4€.

To wander around this fortress, enjoying the sensational views and pondering the history is a great way to spend a couple of hours. Easy walk up and nothing strenuous at all. High worthwhile.
