For beach-goers, this island's fine grain sandy beach area is very pleasing both visually & by tactile touch. Although the island's beach is not unique, it is an alternative to many of the swimming beach areas on Crete. For visitors who have sampled the beaches...More

Chrissi Island is the most famous attraction of the Ierapetra Area. You must use a line trip boat to visit the island. It's very easy to find the way, since there are many points where someone can buy a ticket for the Island. Everyday, depending...More

We have really enjoyed Chrissi Island. Take your own water and food and enjoy the day! Water is crystal clear. We paid €20 for the return speedboat.

The boat trip takes you for an hour-long journey to see the most beautiful beach in southern Crete. Sea shells on the beach with very soft sand gives this place a very special atmosphere. If you are into visiting places around on your trip, it...More

The beach itself was under expectations, but all in all it is fine for having some relaxation. If you have been to lovely beaches of Zakynthos already, it will be 'just a beach out of thousands'. I would not recommend to take two hours long...More

One of the greatest experiences. The island has an amazing beach with sand in the shades of gold. The sea makes different shades of blue and is very clean. You get there by ferry. The price is around €25.

Just back from a day at chrissi island. Paid €35 each for a 2.5hr journey to the place by a erratic and dangerous double decker bus driver and overcrowded boat. The other reviews are true it's not kitted out for tourists at all, the food...More

Apart for the rest of Crete, Chissi island is raped by its people. I felt sorry for the behavior of the people for such a beautiful place. Very crowded and over used. I arrived 11 am and I bought a coffee and a water for...More
