The house is situated in one of the narrow streets of the old town near to the seaside ; however you have to enquire more times as there are not many signs which show the way and not every local inhabitant knows about this house...More

It was difficult to find that place. Local inhabitants helped us.Ierapetra positions itself as the most southern city of Europe. It could also position iteself as the only Greek town visited by Napoleon. Unfortunately the house looks awful. It could attract tourists but not in...More

There is absolutely nothing to see; you walk up to a deserted house, 50m off the main road, and find a sheet of paper stapled to a door saying this was (allegedly) Napoleon's house. Done.

Beware of Ierapetra - if you don't want to go to Chrissi island. There is not much to do there. We walked all sights in 20 hot minutes. The Napoleons house is a run down building where you can look at the facade.

Yeah so it was once stayed in my Napoleon, allegedly, you walk up to it, look at it, take a picture and leave. Can't go in it and there is no information about Napoleon's tenure. Not bad but not worth seeking out.

The house is a street back from the harbor. It was locked but I don't think it is a museum so there is probably noting inside. It is quite a small building for someone like Napoleon to have stayed in but I suppose needs must....More

Not to much about it, and by that, it's meant literally. Just a house of zero architecture, and just a sign, closed, with no information or people or... anything at all. Simply a waste of time. 5/5 locals that we asked for directions said "don't...More

What do you expect!!! One of the greatest icons of our times and you people slate it because its not big and brash. The people were smaller, the ships were at the mercy of the sea's. A great explorer sets down, no navigation aids like...More
