This museum has a lot of good and interesting information about Cretan flora, fauna, and geology, as well as some other specialities, like a huge amount on dinosaurs and a volcano-simulator. It seems as if it needs a bit more upkeep; possibly it is beginning...More

After visiting the Archaeological Museum which I loved, I was encouraged by locals to visit the natural museum and it was good. I spent about an hour browsing through the rooms. If you are only able to visit one museum during your stay I preferred...More

Recommend this museum after Archeological Museum as it continues to offer history of Crete up to and including war years. What a find. Thought we'd be here for 2 hours but ended up looking around for 3 hrs. Thankyou.

I arrived as part of a mixed group of Cretans and Northern Europeans. I had seen the website and was not too impressed by what I saw. In reality though it was informative and the stuffed animal displays were presented clearly and with a degree...More

Interesting place. You can see many things like the animals and the plants of Crete. The ticket is really too expensive for a family to pay!

Very nice interior and location. Very interesting for kids as well. Try the earthquake simulator and the "mirror" experiments.
