Wonderful exhibits of Cretan day to day activities & the tools available to the residents. Quaint museum worth a visit while you are in Vori, southern Crete. Our guide informed us that the majority of the items displayed were donated by local families who had...More

Very difficult to find. It is in the middle of a small village. Lots of Cretan artefacts proving insight into past.

Excellent exposition of the way Cretans lived not so long ago. Interesting, informative and comprehensive. These people worked unbelievably hard and still do. Good visit for anyone who grew up in a town or city.

An excellent and wide-ranging collection, well set-out and with good information. Also try the new folklore museum in Zaros, not too far away

Not really my sort of museum but it is well laid out and has many interesting items of life on Crete up until the war. Be careful in spotting the place. It took me 3 passes through the village to spot the sign.

I did not expect to find such a museum in the middle of Crete. An excellent job! Very accurate reconstruction of life in Crete during previous times.

This tiny village seems to have poured its heart into displaying and explaining traditional Cretan life. Exhibits are beautifully displayed with excellent signage in English.
