We went on the 3 hour mountain tour. The train is large and comfy unlike others ive been on in the past. Great way to see some quaint little villages & learn some local history. The views are fantastic too.

We thought we were going on the Happy Train but, instead, got on to the Fun Train. It seems to offer a similar trip but it is, in fact, quite a bit shorter and nearly half of it is spent sitting in a taverna which isn't mentioned in the itinery. All in all, the Fun Train isn't as much fun... More

The views are SPECTULAR....... well worth the 3 hour trip up the mountain..... I would recommend you take a towel, as the seats are vinyl and get a bit "sticky" in the heat though.........

We rode on the train from Elounda to Plaka. We had visited Spinalonga in the morning and thought the train ride through to Plaka would offer alternative views of the island and we were not wrong!.The train turned round in Plaka and returned to Elounda, then travelling along to Oulos, the lady guide(sorry cant remember her name!) was extremely knowlegeable... The train is a lovely way to get to the neighbouring resort of Plaka. It leaves from the harbour. The journey takes you along the coast from Elounda to Plaka. The driver was very friendly. The atmosphere on the trip is great and people wave to you when you are on the train.
